Youth Ministry Vision Statement

St. Michael High School Youth Ministry’s vision is to encourage and empower its youth to live as disciples of Jesus Christ through study, service, social, and spiritual opportunities. This vision takes place within a supportive parish community that recognizes and affirms their gifts.

Recent and Upcoming Events

May 9th was the last session for CYM.  We began the evening with a recognition of our Senior class with a prayer service. Following the prayer service the teens went outside for water games.  The teens played "Human Battleship"  and a relay sponge game.  The evening ended with snacks and night prayer.

Wednesday night

Each week we begin our youth group gathering at 7:15 pm with snacks followed by a social, spiritual, or service activity. Following these the youth go to a classroom for the study part of our youth ministry. We end the evening in the Church with Night Prayer. The teens are dismissed at 9:00 pm. Here is a closer look at each of the component areas:

Service

So far this year we have written letters to veterans, help the respect life committee with the baby bottle fundraiser, and made care packages for the homeless.

A major part of our service component is our annual Mission Trip. Plans are being made for our 18th annual trip to Fremont, NE in the summer of 2018. . Don't miss out on this opportunity to serve our Lord. Check out our host organization at heartworkcamp.com.

Social

The youth have planned some fun activities for this semester including an egg drop, mardis gras party and the end of the year party complete with Water Games. Come and join in the fun.

Spiritual
